
Barbara Bennett
Barbara’s deep compassion for people, combined with her belief that every individual is uniquely created and deserving of a personalized approach to care, guides her counseling practice. She values each therapeutic relationship, and draws from a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities to meet each client’s specific needs, including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, and other proven approaches. For clients who desire it, Barbara also integrates Christian faith and biblical principles into the counseling process.
Barbara works with adolescents, adults, couples, families, and senior adults, serving clients ages 12 and older. She has experience helping people navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, grief, and other personal struggles.
Barbara has extensive training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), an evidence-based treatment model designed to help children, adolescents, and adults process traumatic experiences, reduce trauma-related symptoms, develop healthy coping skills, and promote healing and resilience.
She also holds certification as a Prepare/Enrich Facilitator. Prepare/Enrich is a nationally recognized assessment and counseling program that helps dating, engaged, and married couples identify relationship strengths, address areas of growth, improve communication, strengthen conflict-resolution skills, and build healthier, more satisfying relationships.
Additionally, Barbara holds MATCH-ADTC (Modular Approach to Therapy for Children with Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, and Conduct) certification, providing specialized training for working with adolescents who are experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, or behavioral challenges.
Barbara Bennett is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and holds both a Bachelor’s degree in counseling and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling degree from Clarks Summit University.
